From November 13 to 16, 2025, the 5th Interim Congress of the Majid Samii Society of International Neurosurgeons (MASSIN) was grandly held in Shenzhen.
Hosted by the China Medical Foundation, and co-organized by Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, the China International Neuroscience Institute (China-INI), the International Neuroscience Institute Hannover (INI Hannover) in Germany, and the Fourth People's Hospital of Shenzhen (Shenzhen Samii Medical Center), this conference is a high-level, international academic event in the field of neurosurgery.
The conference brought together 45 international giants in neurosurgery from 24 countries and regions across six continents, as well as more than 50 leading figures in domestic neurosurgery. Over 400 Chinese and foreign neurosurgeons, scholars and professionals registered for the event.
The academic agenda included live surgical demonstrations, special lectures, panel discussions and other formats, with in-depth focus on cutting-edge fields such as vascular, tumor, skull base, spinal, and functional neurosurgery, the development of neurosurgery in Africa, and AI-enabled surgical innovation. It also showcased research achievements and technological advances in neurosurgical artificial intelligence, providing participants with a comprehensive opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in neurosurgery.
